Policy on Large Parrots

 

 

Notice:  Due to the high percentage of Large birds ending up as "permanent foster children" and eventually ending up in a parrot rescue----

 

Rhonda's Aviary will no longer be handfeeding babies of the larger variety. (Large Macaws, Large Cockatoos) 

 

I have large birds given to me quite often.  If the bird likes YOU and you have had large bird experience, I will consider you a candidate for rehoming a "previously loved parrot." There is a rehoming fee. (Usually it is the price of a new large cage and toys. The bird deserves this...)   If you REALLY want a large parrot, I suggest volunteering at a parrot rescue. --and then taking one of THEM home.

Deposit Policy

 

As of January 2016 the policy is as follows:

 

Animals under $500 dollars require a 50% non-refundable deposit.

 

Animals over $500 or more require a 25% non-refundable deposit.

 

The policy is put into place to insure that the fees are covered for advertising, feeding and the selling time that is lost due to the buyer backing out of the sale.

 

Deposit will hold the baby until it is weaned.  After you have been notified that the baby is ready to go home, you have TWO WEEKS to pay in full and pick up the baby.  If you do not pick it up by then you will be charged a daily boarding fee until the bird is picked up.  IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND  the deposit is non-refundable and non- transferrable. NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

Payment Policy for Animals and Cages


 

Regular payments must be made in a reasonable time frame(weekly or bi-weekly) according to the price of the cage or animal.  

Cages under $500 within 60 days from date of deposit must be paid in full.

Cages over $500 within 90 from date of deposit must be paid in full.

If they have not been paid in full or picked up by that time frame, you will lose your deposit and the cage will be available again for sale.


Once again, the deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERRABLE.  NO EXCEPTIONS. They are NOT STORE CREDIT and NOT TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER BIRD unless previously approved by management.
